Dear Ohio Educator:

American Advertising Federation-Cleveland Education Foundation (formerly Cleveland Advertising Association) is pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for our 17th annual scholarship program. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing a career in Advertising, Marketing, Communications and Graphic Design!

Tell your Students! Enclosed are posters and applications to post outside your door, hang in the lecture halls, department areas and the Financial Aid department. Make an announcement during class, post in e-newsletters and encourage students (especially minority students!) to apply. Students may also download applications at our Web site, www.aafcleveland.com/moneytree.

To be eligible, a student must:

  • Be an Ohio resident;
  • Be pursuing a communications/marketing-related major at an Ohio college or university;
  • Carry a full course-load and hold a current minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale);
  • Currently be in his/her senior, junior or last semester of sophomore year (graduating in Spring 2008 or later).

Applications are due no later than Monday, October 29, 2007. See application for more details.

Finalists will be notified in November and are required to attend a personal interview with the AAF-Cleveland Scholarship Committee during winter break. Winners will be honored in person at the AAF-Cleveland's January 2008 awards luncheon.

If you or your students have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via our Web site. Or, call AAF-Cleveland Executive Director Rick Squire at (440) 673-0020.

Sincerely,

Michelle R. Hirsh
AAF-Cleveland Scholarship Program Committee Chair
